TwoWay x BNP Paribas: Turning Chats into Trading Signal with AI

At VivaTech 2026, Frederic Prieur, Head of PnL Quantitative Research at BNP Paribas CIB, joined TwoWay co-founder and CEO Chirine BenZaied-Bourgerie for a panel on what it takes for a fintech and a top-tier investment bank to collaborate and build AI together on the trading floor.
TwoWay is the real-time trading intelligence platform for institutional traders. It transforms the real-time flow of broker communications into structured market intelligence for front-office traders across FX, Fixed Income, and derivatives.
“What we don’t realize is that the chat is the market,” Chirine said. “The market is happening inside these chats.” TwoWay connects directly to chat platforms like Bloomberg, Refinitiv, and Symphony, converting conversations into structured trading signals in real time, surfacing what matters before it’s missed.
The stakes are concrete. A single FX desk processes tens of thousands of messages a day, with up to 10,000 executable prices buried among them. Without the right tooling, traders miss up to 80% of them. The cost: roughly €5,000 per trader per day in lost opportunity, or €1-2 million a year, per trader. Across the trading desks TwoWay works with, traders report 20-30% efficiency gains and time savings per day. And the upside isn’t just internal: when traders price tighter and faster, they capture more flow and develop their franchise.
The panel explored what it takes to bring that kind of tool into a top-tier investment bank: the technical integration, the trust-building, and the organizational change required on both sides. The panel also pointed to what’s coming: more asset classes, more desks, and a growing case for buy-side asset managers navigating the same challenge.
